A Busy and Fun Weekend!

Friday Night

Caleb to the rescue!

Oh, and we can't forget his trusty sidekick...Meredith the dalmatian!

He loved his costume, and often referred to himself in 3rd person as "Fireman Caleb"...

On stage at his preschool party...

Saturday

Saturday morning breakfast...pumpkin pancakes!

Using chocolate chips to give each pancake some eyes and a nose...

Meredith enjoyed the pancakes as well, but probably could have cared less that they were orange and pumpkin shaped...

My brother was in town for a quick trip, so we all met up for dinner at Stir Crazy...Caleb is "hiding" behind Kris...

Carving pumpkins...

Checking out the "guts"...

Brave girl...

Meredith had a lot of fun...especially since we allowed her to sit on the table!

Sunday

Tonight, we went to an event at our church. The kids had a great time "trunk-or-treating" (going from car to car to get candy). Caleb got some energy out in the jumpy-houses, we had a yummy pizza dinner, and went on a hay ride! We met up with some friends, which made the evening a lot of fun!

Meredith and Levi...

Meredith getting in on the action...while she didn't actually eat any candy, she loved to carry her basket around!

Caleb picking out a treat...

M found a real doggy to play with (that's part of him down in the corner)...

Filling up his basket...

On the hay ride...

Handsome boys...

The 4 of us (well, 5 if you count the little boy hiding under the jacket!)...

The kiddos...

Meredith's Moves

Meredith got a very fun Veggie Tales CD for her birthday, and both she and Caleb have loved listening to it, especially recently!

Meredith has quite the dance moves....not sure if she takes after Mom or Dad. =)

**Please ignore Caleb's shrieks of excitement in the background...the girly screams are an unfortunate habit of his these days...we're working on it! **

My 2 Little Monkeys

Today we drove out to Rockford to meet Grandma for some fun at Monkey Joe's in Rockford. While Meredith has been to MJ's a handful of times, this was the first time she could actually enjoy it for all its bouncy house glory. She loved it! And as always, Caleb had a great time as well.

Nothing like testing a child's new walking skills by putting them in an inflatable bouncy house!

What a fun slide!

Um, seriously....you expect me to walk around in this thing?

Wheeee!

She had so much fun!

Climbing...

Both kids had a lot of fun, and got some good exercise.

So did Mom and Grandma.

I kind of *forgot* that pregnant women are not supposed to be on these things...

Both kiddos loved going down the big slides with Grandma!

Playgroup Pumpkins

At playgroup today, the "big kids" made paper plate pumpkins. They did a really good job of painting the glue on, and then covering the plate with the paper squares. The pumpkins turned out really cute!

4th Quarter

Well, here we are...in the 4th quarter! Pregame strategy is long gone, and half-time has past.

This is it!

30 weeks down, 10 to go.

If you are bored, and want to do some belly comparison, click here to see my 25 week belly shot, for which I was wearing the same shirts! I am definitely bigger....and I guess I should be, since after all....we have entered the 4th quarter!

Oh, and click here to see my 30 week belly shot from when I was pregnant with Meredith.

When Will I Learn?

I am not sure why I haven't learned my lesson by now! Meredith is still mastering the art of using a spoon. So, when I gave her yogurt tonight, and didn't put a bib on her, I should have known...

Apparently, she didn't mind that she had yogurt everywhere.

Yes, it is true...learning can be quite a messy process.

Time With Auntie Heidi

We went to Chicago today to visit Auntie Heidi and to celebrate her birthday! The kids had fun playing with her exercise ball and pumpkins, and we all enjoyed a yummy lunch and dessert made for us by the birthday girl.

Back to Green!

Well, we painted the nursery.

For the THIRD time in 3 years. =)

When we moved in, it was a very bright (almost neon) yellow. Ick.

We painted it green for Caleb.

When we found out that Meredith was a girl, we painted it pink.

And, now we are back to green. Although, the green we chose this time is different than the 1st green. Wow, aren't we creative (note the sarcasm here).

For what it's worth, we have NO plans to repaint that room. Ever!

Thanks so much to my Aunt Deb, who once again did a fabulous job.

One side of the room...

(I plan to put the letters for baby boy's name over the dresser. That is, if we ever decide on a name.)

Our beautiful crib made by Grandpa McCarty...
It's been a wonderful blessing to have such a special bed for our babies.

The other side...

We can't wait to fill these frames with pictures of our little boy!

It was fun to go through boxes of our baby boy things. I got a little teary-eyed thinking about Caleb when he was itty-bitty (well, as itty-bitty as a baby can be when they are born weighing 9.5 pounds.)...

I can't wait until this room is filled with photos, dirty diapers, baby laundry and of course....our baby boy!
