Another Day in Roscoe

We spent yesterday out my parents'. The kids had fun playing outside, and we celebrated Warren's birthday (which is today - Happy Birthday, War!)....as always, time at Grandma's and Grandpa's house was great fun!

What's more fun than pushing around some brooms on the driveway?

Shane relaxing in the shade...

M taking little Shane for a walk. She loves pushing his stroller!

Caleb loved running through the sprinkler!

Grandpa joined in!

Meredith was pretty apprehensive of the spraying water.

So, she spent a lot of time blowing bubbles!

Meredith was finally willing to brave the sprinkler....as long as Grandpa and Caleb held her hands!

Popsicle!

Meredith enjoyed a popsicle as well...it was melting faster than she could eat it, thus resulting in sticky popsicle goo everywhere!

1st Year of Preschool: Completed

Today was Caleb's last day of 3-year old preschool. It has been a really great year. Since September, he has spent each Monday and Wednesday morning in school, and he has loved it. He has grown a lot, learned a lot, and made new friends. Success!

Today was a celebration. Because the program is multi-age (3 & 4 year-olds in class together), some of his classmates are heading off to Kindergarten next year; for them, today was "graduation". It was a really special morning, which included a little ceremony, a slide show of photos from the year, and kind words about each child from Mrs. H. Oh, and cake & punch. =) I may or may not have teared up on multiple occasions...oh man, and to think I've got many more years of this whole end-of-another-school-year-my-babies-are-growing-up thing!

They performed a lot of songs that they sang in class throughout the year - Jesus Loves Me, the Days of the Week Song, and a few others.

Here, I am pretty sure he was singing the Alphabet song...he was really into it!

Just the kids going to Kinder next year wore the official caps/gowns. =)

In this one, they are singing "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes"...

Last day of 3-year old preschool (May 27, 2011).
(The sun made this a less than ideal location for a picture, but I wanted to take one in the same spot as on his first day. Oh, and Caleb picked the pose!)

Good Eats

Last week, we ventured into the world of "solid" foods with Shane. We started out with some rice cereal, and have since introduced him to apples and sweet potatoes. While he is not a huge fan of the plain rice cereal, he really seems to like the other stuff!

Shane's Grocery.

His first taste of apples...he obviously wasn't sure what to think at first, but after his initial confusion, he did great, and really seems to like them!

Sweet potatoes. Love at first taste.

I can't believe my baby can eat food. Wasn't he just born, like, yesterday?

I'm excited to introduce him to more new things over these next few weeks....not sure what we'll try next...carrots, bananas, squash, something green?? Hmmm.....choices, choices!

And, these photos have nothing to do with food. I just think they are cute. =)

Our 3

Our kids are each so different.

While there are obvious similarities among them all (some facial features, some personality traits, etc.), the Lord has truly created 3 very different yet equally wonderful masterpieces.

What a blessing it is that He has entrusted them to us. I find it absolute joy to learn more and more about these little ones each day. As I discover more about how the Lord has made each of them, I am in awe of what an amazing God we have. A God that is creative and loving and gracious (among many other things, obviously!)....

Caleb - 4 Months; Shane - 4 Months; Meredith - 3 Months

Love them...
