Our Girl's 2nd Birthday

It's official. As of 5:37 this evening, Meredith Grace is TWO!

This morning, Meredith was very excited to see the kitchen decorated with streamers and balloons....and even more excited to play with one of the balloons! Who needs presents?!

We spent the morning at the children's garden inside the Morton Arboretum. This was our 1st time there, and it was a lot of fun...there was a lot for the kids to do, and the flowers and trees and plants there are amazing! Today was an absolutely beautiful day, and it was so nice to enjoy it outdoors. I took a bunch of photos (of course), but here are just a handful of the birthday girl enjoying her birthday outing...

Dinner also included all of the fruits that The Very Hungry Caterpillar ate on Monday through Friday (apple, pears, plums, strawberries, oranges)...

We have a joint party for her and Caleb coming up next Friday....so, stay tuned for even more birthday fun next week!

I clearly remember the day that Meredith was born. What a wonderful gift she is to us; she is cherished and loved.
