Fall Weekend

Yesterday, we went with some friends to a local festival, the Scarecrow Fest.  The weather was amazing, and the kids loved playing on the park, seeing all the scarecrow displays and getting their faces painted.

Best I could get!  Nobody's in the mood to pose these days, and to be honest, I was feeling a bit convicted about how much "posing" I am always asking them to do.  I've tried to do less picture taking lately, and more just enjoying-the-moments with my kids, and not just through the camera lens.

This morning, after early soccer games, we went to a local farm to play and get pumpkins...again, the weather was amazing!

A tad bright!

Norah was a bit terrified being up on the haystack.

Don't mind the crazy hair...early soccer game, remember?

Oh Shane.

Edward's 2014

She was pretty unhappy most of the morning.  Until she got an apple cider donut.

He found this itty-bitty one and was so excited..."this one is perfect for norah!"

Miss cranky-pants wouldn't sit anywhere but behind the basket.
And of course we had to make some apple pie!

AWANA 2014

AWANA started tonight!  This year, both Kris and I are serving (I'm still in Puggles and Kris is in Kinder) so it's a Johnson Family event every Wednesday night....even Norah gets to go this year.

So, here are our AWANA "clubbers" for the 2014-2015 school year.  Caleb is in his last year (sniff sniff) of Sparks, and he super pumped to start on Book 3.  Meredith is in her 1st year of Sparks after 2 years as a Cubby....she is super pumped to be a "big kid" like her big brother.  Shane is in his last year of Puggles (good thing because his shirt is getting pretty snug) and I am already lamenting the fact that I only have one more year to call him my "Snuggle Puggle" or our "Puggle Monster". And sweet Norah girl gets to be loved on by some amazing and caring nursery teachers every Wednesday night.

These pictures make me chuckle.
