Tonight, Meredith picked our an early birthday present...a peach-faced lovebird she has named Lucy (LuLu). She has been wanting a pet for so long, and is naturally great at caring for animals. We got the bird earlier than her birthday so that they have lots of time to bond before school starts up again. Lovebirds are relational birds, and naturally pair off with another lovebird. But because we just got one bird, she will bond with her person, as long as they spend lots of time together from the start. ;)
