Ladybug Release

Every year, our neighborhood community holds a "Ladybug Release" event, where they release thousands of ladybugs in an effort to keep the aphid population down (those naughty aphids want to eat all the trees!).  They make it a really fun activity for the kids.  Even the Kindergartners (Shane!) from the school took a "field trip" (across the parking lot!) to participate.

They started the event by reading aloud a very cute ladybug story.

Catching a glimpse of Shane with his class!

Norah was nervous at first.  She didn't want to hold or touch the cup!

She got braver the 2nd time around!

Sneaking a few more pics of Shane with his class!
