Beating the Heat

Ladybug Release

Every year, our neighborhood community holds a "Ladybug Release" event, where they release thousands of ladybugs in an effort to keep the aphid population down (those naughty aphids want to eat all the trees!).  They make it a really fun activity for the kids.  Even the Kindergartners (Shane!) from the school took a "field trip" (across the parking lot!) to participate.

 They started the event by reading aloud a very cute ladybug story.

Easter 2017

I wish I had taken more pictures today!  We had a great celebration at church (a new one....what a weekend to be new in town!), and then had my parents and aunt/uncle over for a meal.  Oh, and I think this is officially the first Easter I've experienced that swimming has been on the agenda!
