Oldies But Goodies

These photos are from when our family (Kris' parents and brother) was in from out of town back in May. My mother-in-law just sent them to me, and I wanted to post them, even though they are not recent! I had just broken my foot prior to them visiting, and since I was still learning how to navigate on crutches, I didn't take any photos myself....so, thank you, Rhoda, for sending these!

We had a wonderful time while they were here, and I am grateful to have some photos to document the memories!

Papa got to meet his 3rd grandbaby!

Everyone Needs a Sister Like Her!

Meredith loves to help Shane by bringing him toys to play with.

Like this little teether.

But, why limit him to just 1 toy, or even a few toys?

Why not just give him every little toy in the baby toy box?

Ahhh, good times for Baby Shane.

Thank you, Big Sissy, for being so generous and helpful. =)

Because It's Flag Day

Please ignore the chocolate on M's face. The kids helped me make cookies this morning, and I may or may not have let them eat some chocolate chips. And I may or may not have neglected to clean off their faces afterward.

Learning to Sit

Shane is working hard to learn to sit independently. He can sit for a short while before toppling over. He is getting better at balancing, and will sometimes catch himself before falling to the side. But at this point, a pillow (or a person) is still necessary to make sure he doesn't fall too hard!

Marigold

About 1 week before Easter, the kids (along with the other little ones that were over for playgroup that week) planted some marigold seeds. It has been exciting to watch the little seeds grow!

The left one is Meredith's, Caleb's is on the right.

If you look really really really closely, you can see a tiny little sprout in the left portion of the "pot"....the first sign of life, about 6 days after we first planted!

Growing!

More greenery...

Finally, a bud!

The bud opened!

Pretty marigold.
