2nd Quarter Honor Roll Awards

1st Quarter Awards

 So proud of these kids!  Caleb and Meredith both got on the Honor Roll for the 1st Quarter (Shane's grades were also Honor-Roll-Worthy but they don't do "Honor Roll" in 1st grade ;) ).  Meredith was also chosen for the Citizenship/Good Character Award for her class and Shane was honored for Perfect Attendance and was chosen as Student of the Month for August.  We had parent-teacher conferences this week, and all of the kids are doing so well all around.  Proud momma here!

Patriotic Concert

These brave kids only had 1 (Caleb) or 2 (Shane and Meredith) music classes before their musical debut at the new school.  They did great despite a lot less rehearsal time than the rest of the kids!  Meredith's was on Tuesday and the boys' was tonight.  I had a good seat last night, so I got a couple decent pics...but tonight I had awful seats so I sadly didn't get any good pictures.

We are all happy to report that her very dangly front tooth (see above picture) has finally come out!!

On Broadway!

 Our kids' school music teacher is so great.  She goes above and beyond when it comes time for their concerts.  This year, Caleb's concert was Broadway-themed.  They sang Songs from Rent (Seasons of Love), Hairspray (Can't Stop the Beat), Grease (We Go Together) and Les Miserables (Castle on a Cloud). The orchestra played songs from The Sound of Music (Do Re Mi and Edelweiss).  It was so fun, and I am pleased to announce that all 4 of my kids have come to love all the Les Mis songs (I own the CDs), which we have been listening to pretty much non-stop for weeks!

They were encouraged to wear something to represent one of the musicals.  We went with Grease.

 I didn't get many good photos (or video), as my vantage point was less than ideal!  But the kids did a great job!

Fun Run

This year's Fun Run had to be in the gym, because of rain, but it was still a great day!  (Sorry for the grainy and blurry pictures.  Gymnasiums are my least favorite photography spots.  Icky lighting, and lots of motion! I need to learn better settings for such occasions.)

#1 Fan.  She ran all three times, without many stops.  She was kind of the star of the show. ;)
