A couple of years ago, we made the decision to not purchase any of the professional photos offered through the kids' schools, sports leagues, dance studios, etc. I take a gazillion pictures of them, so spending money in that way is just not worth it to us. We have no shortage of nice pictures of them and their friends/teammates and we save some money in the process. There are moments when I feel a twinge of regret about this plan...almost as if I am missing out on the "nostalgia" of school pictures and the kids sometimes feel bad about not having a picture envelope full of money to hand the photographer, but ultimately we feel good about the decision we are making.
Caleb's baseball pictures were tonight. I snapped a few "posed" shots in the front yard before sending him off for his real ones. ;) Look closely....you can see that one of Caleb's top teeth is finally coming in, after almost 2 years since his accident/surgery!
