Norah - 1 Month Old

 Sweet baby girl is already 1 month old!  While it seems like it has been forever since she was in my belly, I can't believe how fast the past month has gone.  And, you know me....I am already mourning the fact that she is so "old" already!

Norah is sweet and cuddly.  She loves to snuggle.  She gives us lots of smiles now, although I have a difficult time capturing it on camera!  She eats well, and seems to be gaining weight (I will take her on Monday for her 1 month well visit and find out her stats then).  During the day, she loves to sleep in her swing, bouncy seat, the Moby wrap, or her car seat if we are out, and occasionally in her crib. At night, she sleeps in her crib next to Mommy and Daddy's bed, and sometimes wakes up extra early to have an hour or so of snuggles with Daddy before needing her first meal of the day.  She loves to be swaddled, and the verdict is still out on whether or not she really likes her paci.  She is usually pretty content to look around and take in everything around her.  We just love her more each day, and we absolutely can not remember what life was like before our sweet Norah Jane!  And while I am one very tired momma, I wouldn't change a thing.  Norah is an incredible blessing.

1 Month Old!

Shane is 1 month old today...I can't believe how fast that went!

In honor of his one month birthday, he decided to poop through his diaper, down his pant legs, and all over my jeans this morning at Bible Study.

I didn't take any pictures of that. You're welcome. =)

Our little Shane is such a blessing to us. It's hard to imagine life before him or without him. I know that all of you mommas out there can relate to that!

Latest Well Visits

Big Brother and Little Sis
(one of these days, our firstborn will learn to say "cheese" AND keep his eyes open...all at the same time!!!)


We took both kiddos to their well visits today....Caleb had his 2-year check up and Meredith had her 1-month check up. WOW! This last month has flown by.

They are both doing great! Healthy, growing, and happy (most of the time!)...=)

Caleb has officially hit 3 feet....exactly 36 inches on the dot. My mom told me that my brother was 36 inches at his 2 year appointment, and he is now 6'4"....makes me curious to see how tall Caleb will eventually become! I keep joking around that, now that he is 36 inches tall, we should take him to Great America so he can ride the Whizzer!

Caleb impresses us daily with how much he is learning....as hard as it is sometimes to see our "baby" grow up, it is absolutely amazing at the same time.

meredith...

Meredith has been growing as well! She is now 9 pounds, 15 ounces (74th percentile)....she gained almost 2 1/2 pounds in her first month...yay! She is 21.5 inches long (55th percentile). While she definitely has her "moments", she is a precious baby. She sleeps great for us and is getting stronger by the day. She has been smiling for us for about the past week now....it is so fun to interact with her, and to be able to make her smile. She even smiled when Big Brother got "in her face" this morning! Love it!

We are so thankful for our two precious children. God has really blessed us. Although being a mom isn't always easy, I can't imagine my life any other way.
