Back to School

After a quicker-than-usual summer (8 weeks), we are back to school around here!

They are READY!

5th Grade...His homeroom teacher is Mrs. Ames, but the 5th graders switch classes, so he will have different teachers for Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts...

 3rd Grade...Mrs. Decker's class...

 1st Grade...Mrs. Heidemann's class...

 Kinder-Prep (WHAT?!)...Mrs. Mayes' class...

Friends!

Everyone had a great day!  When I asked them to tell me their favorite parts of the day, here's what they said:
Caleb - Science
Meredith - Library

She graduated to the next level at her swim school!  No longer an otter....

He's traded in his viola for the alto sax!

She loves her LuLu.  And LuLu is coming to love her right back.  It's been fun to see her get more comfortable with Meredith.

 A little preschool practice...

Walking (running) home from the park one evening.

 Splash pad at the mall...

Cicada shells!  The kids (especially Meredith) love collecting these!

Our grass is back!  After a period of intense heat/dryness, it was looking pretty rough.  But with some extra watering, and some rain this month, we've got it back!

 Washing Mom's van!

FREE FOOD Day!  On 7/11, we got free Slurpees from 7-Eleven and then later on that same day we dressed like cows and got free meals at Chik-fil-a.

Sadly, I didn't get a pic of all of us.

Last week, breakfast after a sleepover with the cousins!

Snuggles.

Family Portrait.

Basketball camp several weeks back.
