We had a birthday party for Meredith today.  Lots of her new friends, as well as her cousins, came for a fun afternoon of swimming, painting, eating, slime-making and playing.  I'm so grateful for all of the friendships we have made, and are continuing to make here!

This year's party theme was "random", haha!  I basically just let Meredith pick out what she wanted to eat and do and went with it.  No color theme, no activities theme, just whatever! Nothing Pinterest-worthy to see here. It was great. ;)

 This lovely little lady is EIGHT!

 I took very few pictures today, and didn't even get out the big camera (gasp!).  But what matters it that Meredith felt very celebrated by many little things throughout the day.  Decorated door, breakfast with Daddy, getting her name announced over the loudspeaker and picking out a prize from the office (she picked a mini Rubix Cube), Norah and I joining her and her friends for lunch (we brought donuts!), sharing treats with her class and them singing to her, balloons after school, presents, mac-n-cheese for dinner and cake for dessert...all of this added up to a great birthday!

Her birthday party is tomorrow...stay tuned!
