Meredith's Big Day
We had a great day, celebrating our sweet girl's very 1st birthday!
Pancakes for breakfast....Meredith's were heart-shaped.

Caleb and Daddy opted out of wearing the princess crowns. =)

Enjoying her meal...

Giggles...

Ready to go to the zoo...Daddy met us at Cosley Zoo in Wheaton, which has become a 1st Birthday tradition for us!

Here we are!

First stop...the ducks!

Meredith loves to point at everything. She had a great time looking at all the different animals.

Kisses from the goat...gross, but cute. She loved it.

Not a bad attempt...

Exploring...

Birthday dinner....Grilled Chicken and Pasta.
May not seem like the meal of choice for a 1 year old, but she loves it. Meredith gave up eating "baby food" many months ago, and loves anything that a "big girl" can eat.

2 more precious princesses...

Say Cheese!

"Happy Birthday to You..."
(Carrot Cake...another 1st birthday tradition)

Meredith has never had cake, or any sweets for that matter, until tonight. But, I had a feeling that she would love it. I was right. She left no crumb uneaten.

Happy Birthday to our precious baby girl! We love you!
Her birthday bash is this weekend, so be sure to check back again soon for photos from that!

Letters of the Week - HIJKLMN
We got through a good amount of letters this week, partly due to a rainy day, and partly due to some eager kids who were ready to cut and glue.
H is for House!
I is for Ice Cream!
J is for Jelly Bean!
**If you notice, some are missing.
S decided (while I wasn't looking) to take some off and eat them. Gross.**
K is for Kite!
L is for Leaf!
M is for Mountain!
N is for Numbers!

Chairs
For Caleb's 1st birthday, we got him this chair:

(**What a little chunk!**)

He loved it then, and he loves it still!
We decided to get the same thing (but a more girly version, of course) for Meredith's 1st birthday (which is next Tuesday), and it arrived tonight. Once we had it put together, she immediately started climbing on it, and sat right down, just as if she knew it was hers!
And, the best picture we could get of the 2 of them!
I can't believe my Baby Girl is going to be a YEAR old in less than a week!!!

Backyard Fun
Fun with the water table!
***The day after this, the water table turned into a "mud table" after I showed the kids how they could put dirt in there to create mud. What was I thinking?! =) ***
All smiles...
All this splishing and splashing is hard work!
I thought this was pretty creative...they used the itty-bitty pool as a boat...and, it actually floated with them in it!
Popsicle Break!
Run!
